Scripture Calligraphy quote 2 Chronicles 20:20

2 Chronicles chapter 20 verse 20

And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.

These are the words of Jehoshaphat, who reigned over Judah, at the beginning of a battle between the children of Ammon and Moab and mount Seir; all of which came against Judah.
When Jehoshaphat learned of the multitude that was marching against him, he proclaimed a fast. he and all his people and all Jerusalem gathered and they prayed.
Jahaziel told them that the battle belonged to the Lord, and where they should go. He told them to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.
Jehoshaphat was reminding his people as they heeded the words of Jahaziel, that they should keep believing in the Lord, and believing his prophets.
Because they listened to the prophecy of Jahaziel, they were very prosperous and had an entire army to bring back all the riches and precious jewels after the other armies were destroyed.

This is a powerful verse, and it reminds us that our faith is what establishes our place in God's kingdom and believing his prophets and doing what they tell us is how we can become prosperous.
