Handmade Shop welcome Statement

Hi, and welcome to my new blog-shop!  I have been putting together some handmade items that I will be selling here on this blog in the upcoming year.  I am re-purposing this blog to become my handmade shop. though I am selling almost everything I post from now on, I want my posts to be more social, and informative, with a few of my personal thoughts thrown in. I am hoping that in the process of developing my inventory, making new posts, reading and commenting  you and I can get to know one another, and increase our faith - in God, in each other  and in the Good in humanity. This project is expected to last one year, and regular posts will begin on January 7, 2013. my goal with this is to provide $5,000 worth of services and merchandise so by Christmas 2013, I can visit my father, and show my husband the wonders of my home state, Alaska. Should I be successful, I will be posting pictures from my travels on this blog. You can help me reach goal by doing three simple things. Commenting

Blog to be re-purposed and previous posts Deleted

This blog is being re-purposed as a handmade shop and creative Idea board. starting on Jan 7, 2013 when I get back from a week vacation to see my mom I will be adding one item every day. (one post) from now until then I am preparing posts to auto publish. when I have a creative burst I will share those, and reschedule the product posting scheduled for the following day(s). all previous posts including this one will be removed on Jan 30, 2013.  By this time I hope to have this blog cleaned up and looking good with few links to my social media. sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. If I have previously done a feature with your products or about your shop, I would be glad to redo, but with more of an creative gift idea twist. you can simply Email me to let me know. (please include some story of your process and/or where you get your ideas) Thanks and Happy Holidays

banana and hot cocoa Mania

ever wonder what to do with those bananas before they go bad, but don't feel like baking? well here's an idea for a nice sweet tooth chocolate banana fix. mash 2 medium sized bananas in a regular serving bowl mix in one pk swiss fun colored marshmellows and one pk hot cocoa mix. stir until well blended. serve and enjoy. (sorry no photo, kinda ate it right away, before I even thought of blogging, it was good)

Doggie Style Artworks collection

Image
Dogs, Dogs, and m...   Curated By: JennFamousArt ArtFire.com Handmade Jewelry here is a collection from looking around Artfire for Dog art. I wanted to see what I could come up with to inspire Doggie style in a home decor. a lot of great Artfire artists are out there, and I hope looking at this collection gives you a small taste. Enjoy!

I saw a blog on the very worst thing a writer can do; maybe it applies to artists too

I always have my notebook with me. and pens. perhaps this also applies to an artist. I left my sketchbooks and paints behind because, thought I "nobody want's me messing up their tables with my art!" (it's actually true of the library, I can't paint here, but I could use my watercolor colored pencils.)  I will start bringing them with me, along with watercolor paper.  I still don't know what good it will do for the marketing of my art, but peerhaps if I have the sketchbooks, the watercolor books, and my watercolor colored pencils along with the notebooks I'll be able to bring those ideas to the light and have all the colorful thoughts working together on paper instead of in my head where they loose their potency. thanks so much for the inspiration. http://www.linkedin.com/news?viewArticle=&articleID=608885261&gid=2215425&type=member&item=60190088&articleURL=http%3A%2F%2Fwmfreelancewritersconnection%2Ecom%2F%3Fp%3D2400&urlhash=SR8M
